Each year this hallowed town by the Ganga in the Himalayan foothills plays host to the International Yoga Festival in the month of March. Open to one and all the festival has been witnessing greater and greater crowds each year. Yoga (the ancient Indian science of health and wellness) and Meditation have been an integral part of spiritual realization in Indian traditions from ancient times and the annual festival brings together a wondrous mix of lectures, yoga classes on Pranayama, Hatha Yoga and Yog Nidra, as well as meditative sessions and interactions with eminent luminaries in these fields making it a truly rewarding experience for all
In the morning, visit Mansa Devi Temple (A Siddh Peeth and accessible via a Ropeway ride / optional) Chandi Devi Temple (A Siddh Peeth and accessible via a Ropeway ride / optional), Mayadevi Temple, Kankhal Pilgrimage Area and Bharat Mata Mandir. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Proceed to Rishikesh (located at around 2000+ ft) by road for sightseeing. Rishikesh is a Ganga riverside destination, renowned for its riverside and spirituality experiences. Here you will visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Rishikund and other Ghat areas of Rishikesh. If time permits, guests can also visit Neelkanth Mahadev (30 km - 1 hr approx. one way). Later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
