Srinagar’s boat people, who live in houseboats moored by Dal Lake and Nigeen lake and the Jhelum River, share a very important part of their lives with travellers passing through the Kashmir Valley. They have very ancient cultural ties with Central Asia dating to the times when one of Kashmir’s most dynamic rulers Sultan Zain-al-abidin Budshah imported expert craftsmen in the 15th century from the fabled Central Asian city of Samarkand, to teach the local craftsmen their skills. It was in the 19th century that the British visiting Kashmir started using their houseboats to stay in over the summer months. In time these very utilitarian houses on water started becoming like luxury hotels with many comforts and services supplied by the owner and his family and also the bazaar people. The shikara became an invaluable mode of transport from the houseboat to the shore. One of the most iconic memories we cinema-going India’s share is actor Sharmila Tagore plying her shikara while being wooed by cine star Shammi Kapoor, back in the 60s.

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for full day local sightseeing of Delhi including New Delhi and Old Delhi. Start the tour with Old Delhi sightseeing including Heritage ride by Rickshaw at Old Delhi, Visit Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat. Later proceed for New Delhi which includes Panoramic Tour of colonial building, visit Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, in time transfer to airport to connect flight for Srinagar. Meeting and assistance upon arrival in Srinagar and transfer to hotel. Evening enjoy Shikara Ride in the Dal Lake. Overnight in hotel / houseboat.

Breakfast at hotel. Morning session enjoy Golf activities. Later in the afternoon visit the famous Mughal Gardens of Nishat and Shalimar, Chashme Shahi. Overnight in hotel / houseboat.
After breakfast in the morning, proceed towards Gulmarg. En route you will explore the beautiful Tangmarg Town and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 Kms to Gulmarg. Arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Later, begin a short tour to Gulmarg, boarding the Gondola cable car system (the 08 minutes ropeway / optional). Stay overnight at hotel in Gulmarg.

After breakfast, head towards Pahalgam via Pampore, Avantipura Ruins. Here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder River flowing from the opposite direction. On arrival at Pahalgam, check-in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.
In Pahalgam, visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari as well as take a horse riding trip to Baisaran meadows (at your own cost). After sightseeing around the mountain valley, we will drive back to Srinagar and transfer to the hotel/ houseboat for overnight stay.
In time transfer to airport to connect flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, check-in to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.
In time transfer to airport to connect flight for onwards Journey.
